For real retrogamers there is nothing like the experience of playing with the original hardware, which is why Arcade Express wanted to bring this interesting product and offer it to all of you, devoted retro gamers. The Pi2scart PCB simulates the video output of Retro gaming consoles with unprecedented accuracy.

Unfortunately connecting and playing with the Raspberry Pi on a TFT/LCD TV has several disadvantages. Some of them are the terrible scaling, where you'll see pixels the size of fists, bad colour, LAG in controls and image, and the wrong game clock speeds. This is just to give some examples.

With the Pi2scart board you will be able to connect your Raspberry Pi 3/3B+/4 to a TV/ Monitor CRT and forget about all problems. You will get a video image true to the original consoles and in some cases, even improving it. For example, the Nintendo NES and the Nintendo 64 that did not have RGB support by default and that thanks to the PI2SCART card you can now enjoy.

This card has direct support via SCART video input connector with the Raspberry Pi so that the video image outputs at 15Khz with PIXEL PERFECT resolutions and 4:3 aspect ratio. In addition, the board combines integrated Horizontal/Vertical SYNC with a LOGIC ICs chip that will deliver a super clean image.

Installing the Pi2Scart card is very simple. Simply connect it to the GPIO of your Raspberry Pi and download a Pi2Scart compatible Linux distribution that outputs video at 15Khz. The Pi2scart card has a stereo sound amplifier integrated in the PCB. To get sound simply connect the minijack audio cable (included in the package) to the Pi2scart minijack connector sound output and the Pi2scart to the speakers or sound card. Wherever you want the audio to come out from. The PI2SCART board does not require any additional power supply.
