New version of the J-PAC (JAMMA encoder for Pc to Arcade Controls) from Ultimarc. The J-PAC is a board that allows you to connect a PC to an Arcade Machine through a USB port or through a PS/2 port. The J-PAC board has all the advanced features of the I-PAC2 board built-in plus 1 built-in JAMMA connector.

Thanks to the J-PAC board you won't have to change or modify anything inside your arcade cabinet in case you want to connect a PC to your arcade system inside your cabinet. The J-PAC is compatible with operating systems: Windows, Linux (Raspberry Pi) and MAC OS.

This board is designed for those who want to keep the beauty and originality of their original Arcade Machine but that at the same time want the advantages connecting a PC brings to the system, as for example being able to launch different emulators of hundreds of different platforms with an infinite number of retro games.

This new version of the J-PAC has fully protected connections against static discharge and reverse connection plus 3 extra JAMMA connections have been integrated in this version: Tilt, Service SW and Test. Undoubtedly a breakthrough for the user who wants to get the maximum benefit of his Arcade system. When we connect the J-PAC for the first time we will notice that it is recognized as a keyboard, since this board emulates a USB keyboard. However, with the J-PAC we will not have the problem that USB keyboards have of not being able to press more than 6 keys at the same time. Nor will we have the problem called "Ghost Keys" (that occurs when pressing the same key repeatedly). This is thanks to the fact that the JPAC has built-in full native USB support, and does not rely on any additional adapters.

One of the most popular features of the I-PAC2, A-PAC and J-PAC board is the SHIFT function. With this function you will be able to assign any input as a shift key and access a set of alternate action keys thus doubling the number of input connections.

Another great advantage of this encoder is that it has no LAG thanks to the fact that each action key / button input has its own dedicated connection that goes directly to the CPU of the PCB. We will execute Kicks, jumps, combos and other actions without any effort whatsoever.

Instructions

The action keys of the MAME emulator are assigned by default in the JPAC, although it is not mandatory to use them and these can be reprogrammed freely to the user's taste.
