Pandora Box DX Special - 5000 in 1 Multigames Jamma Board

The Pandora's Box DX 5000 in 1 Jamma version. This Pandora Box is an upgrade of the standard Pandora BOX DX and is intended to be installed in Arcades and Bartops with Jamma wiring. This multigames board has 5000 games of which 34 are 3D games. One of the differences between the Pandora BOX DX Special and the previous ones is that this PCB also has console games and not only Arcade games. The Pandora Box DX - 5000 in 1 Multi Games Jamma PCB has games from the Super Nintendo, SEGA Megadrive, Playstation 1, Super Famicom, Nintendo, Famicom, FBA and MAME. In addition, we can manually add up more roms / games if we want.

The Pandora Box DX 5000 in 1 JAMMA supports CGA video output at 15Khz and 384x224, VGA at 640x480 and HDMI at 1280x720 resolution. The board has 1 JAMMA connector, 1 VGA and 1 HDMI video output connector. This versatile multigame board can be installed directly in an Arcade cabinet with a classic Hantarex Arcade monitor, for example, or in a Bartop or similar project that has a VGA or HDMI monitor.

One of the interesting new features of this multigames board that deserves to be mentioned is the possibility of selecting the language in several languages: English, Spanish, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Korean and Japanese. In addition, the board has a TIMER function in case we want to activate games by time and not only by inserted credit. One of the features that we liked the most is that this Pandora saves our HIGHSCORE. Something not seen in many other Multigame boards.  In addition, we will also be able to save the progression of the games automatically.

This Game Board also includes around 100 games for 3 and 4 players and 2 USB ports that will let us connect our favorite Gamepads. Thanks to this we are able to play up to a total of 4 players.

The Pandora BOX DX 5000 in 1 has an "image enhancement" option that can be activated or deactivated in the configuration menu. This option basically adds a smoothing filter to the graphics of the games and blurs the pixels. Another feature of this board is that it has also added the option to activate Scanlines kind of like an old CRT TV, giving us a more retro feeling if possible, when playing our great classics.

As for the performance of the games, we can see a clear improvement over previous boards. The Pandora's Box DX is powered by a Quad-core Arm Cortex A7 1.9GHz CPU, MALI450MP2 graphics and 2GB of DDR3 RAM. We did not notice any LAG or Tearing in any of the games we tested, nor poor sound.

We can also customize our controllers and the option to organize the list of games by genre: fighting, puzzle, action, sports, etc... or in alphabetical order. Another feature we can find in this board is that it has the PAUSE function also in Arcade games. Difficulty, number of lives as well as editing the list of games and hiding the games that we do not want to appear in the gamelist if fully configurable.

Regarding the sound, this is the first Pandora Box that incorporates 5.1 surround sound. The board has its own internal sound amplifier, so all we have to do is connect a mini-jack cable to the jack output of the PCB.
