Description - RP2040 Advanced Breakout Board 5.4e Fighting Board (PC / Nintendo Switch / PS3 / PS4 / PS5)

The Arcade Encoder RP2040 Advanced Breakout Board 5.4e is intentionally designed with the same dimensions and connector placement as the popular Brook Fighting Boards and the Akishop PS360+. This ensures seamless integration into Fight Sticks, Hitboxes and systems commonly used in the FGC, following the standard wiring and connections adopted over the last decade. All connectors on this PCB are JST PH, except for the 20-pin header which uses a 2.54mm pitch, dual-row male connector. In addition, there is a JST XH connector behind the USB-B connector for an alternate USB cable connection point. The board incorporates numerous vias to minimize GND impedance between the top and bottom layers.

The RP2040 Advanced Breakout Board 5.4e runs the impressive GP2040-CE open source firmware, overseen by @TheTrain. For up to date information on the firmware, its use, update and changes made, visit https://gp2040-ce.info/ This website is updated regularly, so we recommend that the customer check for themselves, as information can become outdated in a matter of hours.

This amazing encoder offers us a wide cross-platform compatibility, allowing us to select between 5 input modes for our controllers: PC (XInput / DirectInput), Android (XInput), Nintendo Switch, HID Keyboard, Sony PS3/PS4 (DirectInput / PS3 legacy), Sony PS4 (dongle-usb required), Sony PS5 (with compatible passthrough adapter). Fully compatible with Brook Wingman XB/EX series for Xbox S/X Series and PS4. giving you the freedom to play on your PC, console or mobile device. In addition, its overclocked polling rate guarantees ultra-fast input latency of less than 1 ms in all modes, delivering instant and accurate response in your games.

With its advanced SOCD cleaner, this device allows you to customize how simultaneous D-pad and joystick inputs are handled, avoiding unwanted inputs. In addition, it offers features such as left and right stick emulation, the use of D-pad together with LS/RS for two-way movement, inverted input and adjustable turbo LED, providing additional control options and a more personalized gaming experience.

The RP2040 Advanced Breakout Board 5.4e also features the option to connect one RGB LED per button for full visual customization, PWM player LED indicator (XInput only) for clear player status tracking, multiple LED profile support and versatile connectivity to suit all our wiring needs.

IMPORTANT

The RP2040 Advanced Breakout board runs GP2040-CE firmware. For PS4 compatibility, you will need suitable DS4 keys or a USB dongle such as the MayFlash MagicBoots v1.1. There is no native PS5 support, but you can use the mentioned dongle for games compatible with PS4 legacy controllers (e.g. Street Fighter 6, Mortal Kombat 11, etc.). Neither the RP2040 Advanced Breakout board nor the GP2040-CE firmware are compatible with the Brook UP5 Playstation 5 Add-on. Due to the open source nature, the firmware is constantly being improved. It is recommended to contact the official community and read the documentation available at https://gp2040-ce.info/.
