Discover the Sanwa JLX2D-TP-8YT, the detachable shaft version of the Sanwa JLX2 and a direct evolution of the legendary Sanwa JLF. Manufactured in Japan by Sanwa Denshi Co., this joystick is the perfect companion for fans of fighting games and arcade games in general.

The D in the model name stands for Detachable. The shaft detachment mechanism is designed to be quick and intuitive, requiring no tools. Once detached, the joystick takes up considerably less space, making it the perfect option for players who frequently travel to tournaments or events.

Compared to the JLX2, the JLX2D also introduces two relevant internal improvements: first, it incorporates a new X-shaped washer that reduces the risk of shaft misalignment or "floating" during play, improving the cleanliness of diagonal motions. Second, it brings back the original black Sanwa JLF P-5 actuator (15.8mm base), replacing the white P-W actuator of the JLX2 (16.2mm). This return to the P-5 restores the original JLF tactile feel that some players felt was missing with the JLX2.

Like the JLX2, this model incorporates significant improvements over the JLF: updated base materials (from nylon to POM / polyacetal resin) for greater wear resistance, reduced washer rattle, nylon bearing for smoother sliding, and an updated CEM-3 PCB board.

Fans of Street Fighter and fighting games will find this joystick to be their ideal choice. Widely used in fightsticks such as MadCatz and QanBa, and in Japanese arcade machines.

The tension is easily adjustable for those who prefer a stiffer feel, with 2, 4 or 6 lb tension springs. You can also easily switch between 8 and 4 directions thanks to the included square GT-X restrictor.
