The Seimitsu SELS-70X-01 is an arcade joystick from Seimitsu’s new 70 series, developed as a compact and refined evolution of the well known Seimitsu LS-56, incorporating technical solutions inspired by the prestigious LSX-NOBI-01 Pro Edition.
This model features the NT NOBI quick release shaft, allowing the shaft and top assembly to be removed and stored separately, making transport, maintenance, and customization easier. The shaft retains the standard M6 thread, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of ball tops, bat tops, and bullet tops from Seimitsu, Sanwa, and other manufacturers.
The internal mechanism incorporates a newly designed anti-rotation shaft system, specifically optimized for compact joysticks, providing firm, stable, and precise control even in demanding games. In addition, it includes dedicated metal bearings that reinforce the rotation locking system.
The shaft height is adjustable via an integrated washer system, allowing precise tuning of throw and feel according to player preference. The assembly is completed with a special octagonal restrictor gate, designed specifically for this model, delivering clearly defined directional inputs.
The SELS-70X-01 incorporates an exclusive spring, approximately 20% stiffer than the LS-56, offering increased resistance and faster return to center. The MS type mounting plate, with a finish similar to the SS base, is compatible with the Sanwa JLF-TP-8YT mounting pattern, allowing easy installation on most standard metal panels.
In this 01 version, the microswitches are soldered to a PCB board that uses a 5-pin connector, simplifying wiring and providing a clean and reliable connection.
