The roots of Saia Burgess Controls (SBC) go back to the beginning of the 20th century. In 1920 the company "SAIA AG" (Société Anonyme des Interrupteurs Automatiques) was founded in Bern. Time-controlled switches, created at that time, enabled the first automatic control sequences. Motors and microswitches were used in a number of applications and were and are constantly being developed to meet the demands of various users.
