Seimitsu LS-40-01-SE Arcade Joystick

The Seimitsu LS-40 is a stylish joystick, without a doubt. The metal shaft with a plastic cover on, certainly give a different touch to this little Joystick. Compact in size, like most Japanese joysticks, and manufactured in Japan with the highest quality materials, the Seimitsu LS-40 is the favorite joystick of 2D beat 'em up games fans. Games such as: Cadillacs and Dinosaurs, Final Fight, Altered Beast, Streets of Rage 2, Willow, Renegade and many more. This is thanks to the short travel and soft spring tension that the Joystick has, making it ideal for executing fast moves without putting too much pressure on the player's hand. This joystick was in fact the default joystick mounted on Neo-Geo cabinets. We could say that this joystick is halfway between the Sanwa JLF and the Seimitsu LS-32. A worth-for-everything joystick.

The Seimitsu LS-40 has the same mounting plate as the Seimitsu LS-32, so the measurements are identical. The rest of the parts are different, starting with the restrictor which can be configured in 4- and 8-way mode respectively but not in 2. Please note that compared to the Seimitsu LS-32, when this joystick is configured in 4-way mode it works amazingly. At Arcade Express we have noticed that this joystick is ideal for classic games such as Pac-Man, Donkey Kong, Dig -& Dug, and similar. We liked it even more than the LS-32 or Sanwa JLF configured in 4 way restrictor.

As for the connections, the Seimitsu LS-40 has an integrated PCB with a 5-pin connector perfect to be installed on to a Zero Delay or the Xin Mo encoders.
